For the Novella ~ Dance With A Cowboy in
Wild West Christmas
The numbers are in and although I didn’t win I am still very proud to have been in the top five for the Holt Medallion for my novella Dance With a Cowboy in the Wild West Christmas Anthology! From what I hear from the contest coordinator, the competition was extremely stiff this year. I am looking forward to next year when I can submit The Gunslinger and the Heiress and see how it stacks up to other historical romances of the year. The one thing I love about writing is that there is always room to grow and improve. I think that is what keeps it so fascinating to me year after year.
I am excited to share the news with you, my readers, that Dance With A Cowboy, my novella in the Wild West Christmas Anthology has been selected as a 2015 finalist in the Holt Medallion Award contest! Winners will announced at the Virginia Romance Writers’ Awards Luncheon on June 13th. This novella was my first attempt at writing a shorter story, so I am doubly happy it has made the final round of judging!
m featured today at the Facebook Group Pioneer Hearts. Here’s what Kirsten Osbourne has to say about this fabulous groupI’: “If you haven’t yet joined Pioneer Hearts, a group chock full of crazy historical Western romance writers and readers, then you’re really missing out. Some awesome writers are in there as well as some crazy fun-loving fans. The group was started a year ago, and already has almost 900 members. We have contests, silliness and witty banter. Join us for some fun!”
