Kathryn's dreams of becoming a published writer took root when she entered a national magazine contest and placed with her contemporary short story. When she sent The Light Keeper, her first completed full-length manuscript, to the 2005 Golden Heart Contest, it made the finals in the short historical category and was picked up by Harlequin Historicals for publication. The title? The Angel and the Outlaw.
She has written three Harlequin Historical books since then. (See the "books" page for details and excerpts.)
Kathryn helps judge several contests, including the Golden Heart and Rita. She is a member of American Christian Fiction Writers and Romance Writers of America.
Currently, she lives in the Midwest with her husband and sons and is working on her next book.
"My desire in writing these stories is to illuminate a facet of God's amazing love and grace. To strengthen, inspire, and encourage...and to entertain along the way."

"Just the knowledge that a good book is waiting one
at the end of a long day
makes that day happier."
